It is the ones who don't get it then something happens and they need a replacement and then they get mad that there isn't any other option.

You say don't get it. I say do.

Everyone has to make that choice for themselves.

I can't agree more with either of the previous 2 posts, though one endorses insurance and the other doesn't! The reason being, which was mentioned is that it really comes down to the person/s and how they handle their phones.

Personally, my devcies have always lasted many years since I am so careful wtih them and treat them as the high end computer that they are. But yes, many people throw them around, slam them down, drop them, and do various other things that boggle the mind. Then these same folks are the ones wonderign why their earpiece speaker has gone out, or why there is a hairline crack that just appeared even though "they didn't do it". For these individuals, and those who have kids with cellphones on their plan,  I highly recommend insurance as it is typically cheaper than havign to pay for a new phone at full price or from a 3rd party once something happens to the device.

But for those that are like me and tend to keep their phones for many years without issues because of the way they care for it-- there is no reason for insurance. So yes, it comes down to the individual!

I have only broken 1 phone and it was by accident but not really. I was mad and threw the contents of my hands in the air. Not realizing my cell phone was one of them.

I have the insurance in the event of damage but I really do take care of my phones. They are kept in cases with tempered glass screen protectors. I do not take them near bodies of water and I do not leave them where something can be spilled on them. However, anything can happen. The biggest thing for me is the extended warranty.
