Phone Issues

I have a Samsung Stratosphere. I have had this phone since February of 2012, and recently, I have been experiencing issues. This past March, my phone would grow hot to the touch, and then turn itself off. It would then attempt to turn back on, bringing up the Samsung logo, before turning back off and repeating this cycle for minutes and hours at a time. As I bought the phone from Best Buy, I went there to see about getting it fixed. They were unable to help me because I had just passed my warranty expiration date. They did a factory reset, and my phone seemed to be working correctly until just this past two weeks, when it began to turn itself off again. I want to, first, know what is wrong with my phone, and, second, see if there is anything that can be done to fix it.

Sounds like an app is corrupted and causing the CPU to constantly run. Did you recently add an app?

Try placing your device in safe mode for a day or two. Any downloaded apps will not be available. if the issue quits, you have an app issue and I would start deleting apps one at a time from the newest loaded. Instructions are below. Keep us updated

Oh no, MK15. A malfunctioning phone is definitely no fun. The suggestion from budone is a fantastic place to start, since it won't actually remove any of your applications but will at least stop all the 3rd party apps from running and allow you to be able to go in and delete http://vz.to/R6lhXn a few of the most recently downloaded apps. If there is an application that is constantly running as budone mentioned, the phone will become warmer (most phones get warmer the longer it's being used or while on a charger) and after the temprature of the phone hits a certain point, it will begin the reboots. If it comes down to another reset http://vz.to/A8ykLa you don't have to head into the store. It's easy to do from home to clear the slate and get your phone working again.
