I just got off an hour call with verizon tech and they are working on
sending some package to my phone, which can take up to 48 hours to correct
the problem OR they say I can go to a verizon store and plug i a new SIM
that is programmed with the number I ported. I'm going with option 2 and
will let you know if that works for me

I made some progress too! But I'm not sure how much it will help you. What I did was turn off iMessage, and Facetime on my iPhone. Then, reset the network settings. At this point, I was able to connect to the LTE network, but still no texts/talking. I reset phone, and then those functions were also restored! Everything seems to be working now.
The tricky thing was that I had already tried resetting my network settings previous, and it didn't help. So maybe there was some delay on the back-end that allowed it to work today.
Best of luck to you!
