Despite what the VZW Global Services website says, there is no data coverage for CDMA in Grand Cayman. The website says there is full voice and data coverage, but there must be something wrong with the roaming agreement with Digicell, the local provider, because no data connectivity is allowed. Voice and text will get through. I called the VZW global support number, and they opened a ticket but have no insight other than to say there is nothing wrong with my phone or its settings. Unfortunately that means I have a week here (no complaints) without the data service I rely on for my job (big problem).
