New Tower in Point Roberts, WA

We have a new tower in our small town that started operations April 30th of this year.  I'm wondering if there is anyway to find out if you are still fine tuning this tower.  When they were installing the tower the guys were telling everyone that we were going to get great service with this tower as the town is 4 square miles and the tower is located in the middle of town on one of the highest points.  Since it went into operation I can only get 5 bars on my IPhone 5 if I am sitting at the access road to the tower, and at my house I go from 1-2 bars to roaming and I am less than two miles as the crow flies from the tower.  If I go down the street I might roam or if I'm lucky I might actually get 3G network.  I only get LTE if I'm right next to the tower.  We went with Verizon because of this tower coming and I have to say so far I'm not happy as I have more roaming charges since it went into operation than I did before.

Unless you have a really old plan, you shouldn't have any roaming charges now with Verizon Wireless.  Is this location close to the Canadian border?

Are you sure this is a Verizon Wireless tower?  Perhaps it is a tower to support voice and 3G data only instead of 4G.  Have you reset the SIM card since it became operational?  Turn off the iPhone 5 and remove the SIM card for a few minutes.  reassemble and start up the phone again.  This will reset the phone's and the SIM card connection to the Verizon Wireless network.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
