Network Issue

Can anyone tell me why I have had excellent service with both Mifi device and 4g phone until about mid December 2014 with speeds that averaged about 10 meg down and same up and since am lucky to get 3 to 4 meg down. It has happened on both devices. I sometimes get .5 meg down with 6 up?

I've contacted Verizon support but no one can (will) help? Something has changed but Verizon says no changes?....Have we over sold our network??

Kaccy,

We want you to have great speeds all the time and everywhere! What zipcode are you having the trouble in? What model phone do you have? Have you tried powering the devices off, reseating the SIM cards and powering them back on?

My zipcode is 75455 and I have a Samsung Note 3 and a Samsung MiFi adapter.

I have powered the devices off a number of times, reseated the sim cards on

both and even reset to factory defaults the WiFi adapter. I still get

terrible through put on both devices from time to time. This morning all

seems fine but weekends always suck. yesterday my speeds were .53 down on

my Note 3.5 up, and mifi .900 down and 1.75 up...

My speeds were fantastic up untill the middle of Dec. and it went to heck..

Others have also told me that what used to work well in their homes no

longer works...

Any help will be appreciated.. thanks, K

Kaccy Thank you for the details! There are not any alerts in the area. Where exactly does the issue take place? Inddors or outdoors? How many other VZW users in the area are having the same problem?

I have a good friend that lives on Lake Cypress Springs and we used to have

great phone service in their home. Now you're lucky to be able to have a

conversation the coverage now is so spotty.

My service went to poop about mid Dec last year and occurs not only outside

my home, but inside. Right now I get 3 meg down and 1 up when before I had

never seen it lower than 6 or 7 meg in the past.

So is this the result of the "new xlte" network?? Something has changed and

so far I'm far from impressed. Help Please... Ken

Kaccy, change energizes us to be better for you! Service can be challenging indoors due to restrictions caused by the materials that your home was built with. As a result, no wireless provider can guarantee services indoors. However, you mentioned that you previously had decent service at a one time. Have you tried hard resetting your device?

Locate the Power button at the top of the device (with the display facing you). Power the device off. Press and hold the Power button until "Goodbye" appears on the display then release. Keep us posted.

I have reset both devices a number of times and it does not help.

I've made no changes to the construction of my home or enviroment.

Is this service what i can expect from the "new" xlte network?? If so i

want the old network back.

Have u oversold the network???

We appreciate the information. I notice that you mentioned you contacted support earlier in the message sequence. Was a Network Ticket filed?

Thanks for the additional information Kaccy! In review of my resources, I see that software update was recently released. Let's make sure that your phone has the latest software update, please go to Settings>About Phone, and share the Build number and Baseband version.
