The same kind of outage which occurred before between 6/01 and 6/04/2010 is now happening again. Started sometime early a.m. today 7/03/10. It has been reported numerous times to Verizon and is known to all of the Verizon employees at the Verizon store on Rt. 6 in Mohegan Lake, NY 10547. Areas which "normally" have excellent signal are either getting 0, 1 bar or no service indicators.
For some reason this keeps happening -- the tower located on a hill overlooking Mohegan Lake seems to constantly be experiencing problems (but I am at a loss as to why it has happened today -- last time one could attribute it to a bad storm -- but today the local weather has been fine). Of course, it just has to happen over the July 4th weekend !!
Last time this happened (6/01-6/04/10) it took VZW 3 days to restore service. Now, 1 month later, we are down again.
Could someone from Verizon ACTUALLY look into this.

The tower in question is on a hill overlooking the western side of Lake Mohegan and is located off of Heyward Street.

The outage has been reported. It's a known issue with customers experiencing loss of signal, dropped calls, 0-1 bars of service and no data service. Our technicians are aware of the issue and working diligently to resolve it. I apologize for the inconvenience as it can be frustrating during a Holiday weekend. Thank you for your patience.

Thank You -- I appreciate getting an actual official response from Verizon Wireless. I do hope that, in addition to correcting the current problem, VZW can figure out why outages seem to be happening repeatedly in this area lately and can take some steps to minimize the probability of outages recurring so frequently in this area.
