There are some old grandfathered plans that had free any mobile to any mobile but all current or new plans do not have it.  If you have mobile to mobile with your plan and it's not a very old plan then it is just verizon mobile to verizon mobile.

Thanks, crelin, for your reply.

Hello karlee_rachelle,
That's a good question! It all depends on the plan you have. Our current Family Share Plan does include unlimited voice http://bit.ly/xdDajD but if you have a grandfather plan you may have unlimited mobile to mobile to Verizon Wireless numbers. Which specific plan do you have?

I recently changed my plan, not by choice, but because I had to, to get a new phone, but NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE EVER SAID I WOULD LOSE MY MOBILE TO ANY MOBILE. I do not like features that I use on a regular basis being removed with out warning. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE TO ME.

First of all, Verizon has NEVER had free "MOBILE TO ANY MOBILE" with any plan. Verizon's mobile to mobile was only between Verizon phones.

Second, I would be curious as to what plan you have now? If you "had" to switch plans in order to get a discounted phone, I can only assume you are now on the Share Everything plan? If so, most Share Everything plans come with unlimited minutes/text to ANY number in the US, not just mobile. The exception for this is if you have a basic phone and chose to go with the 700 minute plan. That is the only instance where you would not have unlimited calling to ANY number in the US regardless if it is mobile or not.

you are mistaken because I have had mobile to any mobile for more than 3 years, and I am not happy with it being removed with out any warning.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD VERIZON DO AWAY WITH AN INDUSTRY STANDARD FEATURE THAT EVERY ONE ELSE OFFERS IN THE COMPETITETIVE MARKET WE HAVE TODAY.

I tried to paste the news release in here where it states that customers that had the plan could keep it, but this site will not allow me to copy and paste I guess.  my home address is in Mississippi, and MS is one of the states that this was a standard plan option..  This is certainly not a good way to gain or retain customers. but then my experience so far is that Verizon does not seem to care much about retaining customers.

Hi,

I am also from Mississippi...Hattiesburg, MS to be exact.  I have been with Verizon Wireless for 4 years, 4 years before that with Alltel, and ATT before that.  I don't recall any "industry standard" concerning free 'mobile to any mobile' with any of those providers.  I do remember having free mobile to mobile calling from VZW mobile to another VZW mobile, Alltel mobile to Alltel mobile, and ATT mobile to any ATT mobile calling.  I do remember having the Friends and Family calling plan which I had a list of 10 numbers I could set up and those calls would be considered free calls for me, but not free for whoever I called.

The industry standard these days is for Unlimited Talk and Unlimited Text from your device to any number in the USA.  Obviously, if I called my Aunt Tillie in Tupelo, Mississippi, from my device to hers, it is a "free" call for me, since I have unlimited calling.  And, thank God and Greyhound, Aunt Tillie has Unlimited Calling on her plan, so we can talk until the cows come home.

Anyways, have a great day.

when I signed on to Verizon in 2010 because the company I worked for at the time offered a nice discount to use Verizon, they started advertising mobile to any mobile. I had it added to my account at no charge. it was there until jan 15th when I upgraded my line.  Mississippi was on of the states it was offered in.  it began in august 2010 in Texas and Louisiana, then the next month I believe expanded to Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida.  then according to an article on a site called Fierce Wireless  a quote from Verizon Spokeswoman Brenda Raney, the company made the decision to drop the feature, but that any one that already had it cold keep it. When I upgraded with out telling me they dropped it, now to get it back I have to pay $15 more than I am paying now.  This is not in line with the news release they made. while many company's have unlimited call plans (that you pay handsomely for by the way with some of them) any that have non unlimited plans offer mobile to ANY mobile, I would call that an industry standard. Verizon is the only one left that charges extra for this feature. and as you can see from the company rep that commented above. some never knew that the feature was ever offered at all. and since you mentioned unlimited. most carriers are now moving to unlimited data. but again Verizon decided to drop that plan too. I just can not understand how in a market that is so competitive Verizon keeps downgrading their service. it does not make sense.
