Mobile Email Question

I received an email from Hotmail today saying I can access my email on my cell phone. I checked it out on my phone and it looks like accessing this feature will cost me $5 (I assume this is per month)?  My question is: will I also be charged for data usage for using my mobile email?  It doesn't seem like I should, but I know Verizon will charge you for everything they possibly can.  Data charges add up really quickly, so if I am going to be charged for data usage there's no way I'm adding Mobile Email.

Thanks

it is $5 per month and you will be charged for the data transmission 1.99 per mb.  if you plan on using it alot i sugest going to a connect plan it includes mobile email and vcast vpack just not vcast videos.

I have Mobile Email and I am charged minutes of use rather than per kbyte of data, in addition to $5/mo.  This works for me because I never use all my plan minutes and I have free nights and weekends on my plan.
