Joining Family Plan

Hi,

I am currently in a 2yr contract, which ends in September.  I would like to join my mother's plan, as she has a data package that would allow me to get a smart phone.  Is there any way to cancel my contract a few months early or combine it with her plan with no fees?

Specifically, I'm wondering if it is possible to merge plans or if there are lesser fees for cancelling a plan with only a short time on the contract.
