Is the incoming call disconnect problem related to the Alltel merger?

I read reports that  some postpaids, VZ prepaid, also effected other mvnos.  PP, AV and ST.  Other mvnos maybe effected.  What is happening  the incoming call is disconnected within a minute.   It is not the phone, people have change phones and even providers.   There is speculation it could have something to do with the Alltel merger.   According to poster it happening outside the Alltel coverage area.  What is strange about this,  it is not all areas.   If they drive to a different location problem stops or starts up.   According to posters,  you are not charge for the first minute if it is disconnected.   When will the Alltel towers be coveted  over to Verizon?   My theory is the hybrid prl is effecting some phone numbers.   Once the hybrid prl is stopped it should fix it.

Can I port to Verizon prepaid from a mvno?   Do I need to port out to another  non-verizon company, then port back  in?   How long do you have to stay on verizon prepaid once you port in?

MVNO Mobile Virtual Network Operator -- who is your MVNO carrier? I think you need to contact VZW Prepaid Customer Care at (888) 294-6804 to see if you can port in. I know that you must be a VZW prepaid customer for at least 6 months if you want to keep your number and convert to post pay service.

I am not the only one that has the problem.  I really didn’t want to bring up another forum.  If you go to Howard forums,   on the pageplus forum,  you will see a thread titled “ Why do incoming calls drop on PPC?”

If you read the thread,  you find out it is not just PPC,.   As I said above it is PPC, AV, ST, Verizon postpaid, verizon prepaid.

People have contacted the MVNO,  they blame the phone,  which is impossible,   because people switched phones and even switched mvnos.   Problem still happens.

I am not going to switch to contract.      Verizon should be aware of this and fix it.  For one reason, they are losing money.  I was able to finish a quick call before I got disconnected .    You are not charge for the call if it is disconnected within a minute.

I plan to switch to Mingo to see if that fixes the problem,  if not have them change my phone number.

Even if  I ported my number to Airvoice GSM (ATT MVNO),    the problem could still follow.
