I have a Motorola Droid Maxx. I'm going to France for a week and purchased a world plan for the week. I called Motorola and they said this phone is incapable of being used overseas. Questions: 1. why did Verizon allow me to buy a plan that I can't use? 2. Why does Verizon say this is a world phone and Motorola says it isn't?
I leave in 48h.

The Droid Maxx will work overseas. You won't get LTE most likely, but will get more than adequate HSPA.
For Device:
DROID MAXX by MOTOROLA
Destination Network Speeds
Will my device Work? | Voice | 2G Data | 3G Data | 4G Data | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
France | Yes | Yes |
