I transferred my number and service from at&t yesterday and since that I have not been receiving texts. Does it take awhile for this to straighten out?

Have you turned off the AT&T phone and removed the SIM card? Something in the port process might have gotten stuck. I would suggest calling customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or another phone and ask them to check the port process on your line.

We are so happy to have you join in the VZW family! We always want your services to be up and working properly and it saddens us to hear that this is not happening since your transfer. Let's get this fixed. Wireless numbers usually take 4-24 hours to transfer, while landline numbers can take 2-10 business days. Just to confirm, voice calls, data and sending messages are all working properly? Are the messages still coming to your old device on the other carrier?  Have you powered your old carrier device off, and re-started your VZW device?

It has been almost 72 hours and still not receiving text messages. Yes the old carrier phones have been turned lol off and our new phones restarted multiple times. I spoke with a representative on Saturday who stated the porting over was still occurring.

Your experience porting in to Verizon is very important to us, let's continue to troubleshoot to isolate the issue. What is the make/model of your phone? Which messaging app are you using? What happens when you send a text?

I spoke with a customer service representative on Monday and the issue was corrected.
