I have the same problem and so does my husband. We hate having to listen to the caller/date/time info. How can we skip this permanently? We have basic voicemail.

In your setup options, turn OFF the envelope info. The sequence of commands runs something like - Personal Options -->Administrative Options -->General Options -->Message Review -->Envelope info (should be able to toggle on or off).
As an Android phone user you have immense control over voice mail functionality. Refer to the chart below to view all of your options. I find it easier to make changes with a landline phone & then testing with your cell phone turned OFF. You can even program your phone to bypass password entry & get to your messages FAST.
