How do I receive old texts after traveling abroad?

Hi,

I just got back from a month in Germany where I had my phone in airplane mode the entire time so that I could connect to wifi and not worry about phone and text charges. Upon returning I only received texts from what appears to be the last week or less. I do know that Older texts exist, I am wondering if there is a way to retrieve these texts or to get them sent to my phone? So far I have not been able to find any topics related to this.

You will not be able to retrieve them. Verizon's servers attempt to deliver texts for approximately a week to 10 days and then delete them from their servers. If you don't try to retrieve them within that period, you will not be able to get them.
