My number failed to port to a new phone. I now have no phone since we cannot port the number back to old phone. I cannot register my verizon account due to not having a phone. I cannot get into contact with customer support since I have no phone. Is there
I'm extremely frustrated, the topic says it all. I don't know what else to add other than that this is causing an immense disruption and I need a way to get service to my old phone asap.
The problem is that I ordered an iPhone and went into the verizon store to port my number from an old prepay phone. We changed my account over to a postpay service. After near three hours letting Verizon customer service take care of hte phone, the number failed to port and service never activated. I returned the phone back on an RMA. I now cannot port my number back to my old phone due to it being a prepay phone. I need assistance asap.

theprodigalbard,
I'm sorry to hear about trouble with getting the phone line back on prepaid. I know how important it is to have a reliable and working phone, and it does sound like there's been a snag int he process. All postpay to prepay conversion can only be done in store locations. For this reason, I would recommend stopping back in at one of our company owned store locations so that the process can be completed. You can use our store location list located here, in case you'd like to try a different store: http://vz.to/1E2tKhg

So is a postpay to prepay conversion even possible? The folks at the store I went to seemed to think this was impossible.
