Thank you, Elector, for your reply. I intend to file for much more than arbitration or small claims. My attorney usually does federal cases, but will do state as well.

Unfortunately a competent attorney will only sue for actual factual damages incurred by his client. You won't get extra damages. Small claims is actual money loss up to a limit. I think $5000 in my city. State supreme court handles cases of wrong doing such as contract disputes, or wrongful acts on Verizons part. (Such as making you personally be in a sub contract with conditions you cannot meet or meet with hardship)

In the old days of class actions if Verizon was putting phantom charges on everyones bills or selling a good or service in bad faith then the class action got you the customer about $10 in store credit, and the gazillion dollars went to lawyers as their fee. But verizon simply raised their rates to recoup the money or credits paid out. The only winners are the lawyers and funny as it may seem Verizon!

Don't forget Verizon made millions before the class action, they did not give the money back but what they took in was far greater than what they paid out after the court case. And these cases drag on for years in the courts.

Technically, Verizon has only been a company since 2000.  it was Bell Atlantic and Vodafone before this.

"available to upgrade on 9/13/13" might be an early upgrade date, if you were within the grace period before Verizon switched to 24 months, you might have 4 additional months on your contract, might want to look into that....

Horrible customer service. I have been on hold for an hour and a half. They said that they would not charge me the $30 upgrade fee. Now they are giving me a problem about it. The lady on the phone confirmed that it says that I won't be charged the $30 in the notes, but she is still giving me a problem. Verizon lies!!!!! They make promises that they don't keep!!!!!
