Good Casio Commando replacement phones?

I've had my Casio Commando for over 3 years now and am about ready to replace it, unfortunately Verizon is no longer selling the Commando 4G. They have recommended that I try the Kyocera Brigadier but it seems that most other Casio fans find it to be sub par in the durability department. I'm ok with the short comings of my Commando because I want the durability without a case, can you recommend any phones besides the Brigadier?

Moto Droid Turbo.  Is is splash resistant, 1 free screen replacement, pretty touch Kevlar exterior, and if it is anything like my old Razr Maxx, it'll go the distance.

If you want something less expensive on a new 2 year contract you might look into the Droid MAXX.

The Brigadier got 4 stars.   But I didn't read reviews.

the great thing about the Commando was small size and a rugged exterior.

cant promise you small size with new smart phones, but almost any/all should have a case on them for survival.
