Galaxy s5 has poor signal receptions since updates

Since the recent updates, I have very limited cell service at home (zip code 35761) as well as in the town where I work (35801) and is constantly dropping  calls and freezing up. Is there anything that can be done to correct this issue? We dropped ATT due to lack of coverage, but now it seems that is not doing us  any good.

After I did my lollipop upgrade, I ended up having to do a factory reset for the new OS to install properly .. once I did that my s5 works better than it ever has before

I was trying to avoid factory reset, but looks like that might be my next step...Service is still not great, battery life is awful,,,And we have tried to use the advance calling which is a joke.
