I recently was hired on at a university. I've submitted the appropriate Verizon form to find out what percentage I can save on service. While I wait on the answer, I have a question that I hope the community will be able to help me with.
Can I add the educator discount to an existing family plan? If yes, does my name need to be the billing name? If the educator discount cannot apply to the entire plan, can it apply to just my particular line?

Oh how I love discounts! I'm excited for you to get word back. When it comes to employee discounts you have to be the account owner (main name) of the account.
If you're not already, that's easy! We have a process called an Assumption of Liability where the current Account Owner provides permission for you to take over the account into your responsiblity.
Then we can apply your work discount.
