At least one carries has a wifi app that allows phone calls over wifi in poor signal areas. Another carrier provides the booster for free if you have poor reception at your home.
I have poor reception in my neighborhood and a couple surrounding neighborhoods.
Any plans for a wifi calling app or anything like this?

My guess would be no they have no plans for it.
