I'm thinking of getting a Droid with Verizon as my provider, and I'm wondering if they block any ports like 6667 for IRC for 22 for SSH on it.
I wasn't able to find any information with the codes you provided. The only thing I can suggest is to try to port the number an see if it works.

I believe that she did not understand your request. It sounds like she interpreted "port" as the porting of a phone number from one service to another.
My reccomendation would be to call technical support for Verizon (ask for for a tech support rep, not just regular CS), or look for a forum for the phone you want to use and ask if you can do the things you want to there.
