Disappointed with the plans!

I came to Verizon because I heard such great things about their international plans they were pitching about a year ago. Well it's been a year and all I feel is I should have gone to T-Mobile. Apparently, now they also have an international plan only its not a plan. Their international service comes included in their basic plan. This includes Data, Text, and Calls, While Verizon charges me 15 dollars extra for this service on both my lines for which only the Calls are included internationally. .50 for sending messages from mexico and .05 for receiving messages in mexico and you don't even want to get me started on the data usage which is also not covered in mexico. So I think, I'm buying the phone for 2 years, but I can change the plan right? 🙂 NO 😞 Unfortunately, That plan I got a year ago is non-existent and according to Verizon I'm lucky to have it. They don't offer this anymore and if you get the new plan. You only to use texting internationally... So now. Calls are not included and obviously Data definitely is not. For which I share 4GB on two lines. Depressing. I know. To think I get all this for a whopping $250 a month... Lucky Me. Obviously that includes both phone payments and Insurance on both phones Which I believe is a $200 deductible. I'm stuck. I will keep paying this for another year or so. Then I will keep my now 2 year old phone and pay about $150 for two lines right? Probably not. I'm sure by then T-Mobile will no longer offer that plan lol Anyway... thanks for letting me vent... and if this helps you decide on a good international service provider. I'm glad I helped. And before anybody says cancel the two lines and switch over now. That is more cheaply said than done. In order to that I would need to pay off the remaining balance on my two Galaxy Note Edge's which I bought when they came out and I believe they ran for about $800 each. Maybe I'm wrong but last time I called them and asked which was not too long ago they told me I still owed $1000 for the two phones... After a year... umm... that's not half of $1600. But what do I know my math is rusty I'm only a Slots Cashier at your local Casino! 😉

We don't want you to feel stuck, FonzBig. Our new TravelPass service allows service to be used in Mexico for only $2 per 24 hours after first use. The advantage of this that the TravelPass allows data to be used in Mexico. More details can be found here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/landingpages/international-travel/
