Hello,
This is a two-part question.
First, reception on my property (zip code 75568, rural area) has gone from decent signal (LTE) about one year ago to no signal or limited 3G now. This is outside of my home in the driveway or surrounding area. Lots of dropped calls, sometimes a VM doesn't come thru for an hour or so, etc. I switched over to the unlimited plan a while back, does that have something to do with it? I am still on an iphone 5, does that have something to do with it? Please help!
Second, My house is metal roof and outside walls are metal. What can I do to get ANY (very, very limited if any at all) reception inside my home? Of course, I'm still in the mindset that I have service outside. If in fact there is a booster out there to help, which one?!
Would like to know what tower I'm coming off of.
Also, No internet service or wifi at home. Just cell service....

DIALIT97,
We definitely want you to have the service you need where you need it. A change in your plan should certainly not impact your calling ability in any way, so let's keep working on this. Now, you mentioned that you have a metal roof and siding. These factors can certainly impact your reception. Please keep in mind that many things outside of our control can play a role in your reception, including network capacity, your device, terrain, buildings, foliage and weather. However, you mentioned that reception has changed. Are you aware of others here with similar issues here? Are the issues primarily with calling or do you have trouble with data and messaging as well?

Thank you for the response.
We are in a rural area. Our closest neighbor is about 200 yards from us and
I do not know if they have cell service. The next closest neighbor is at
least 1/2 mile from us and so on.
The problem with reception is with phone, messaging (which is the best out
of all) and data. So all of it.
I understand the issue with metal roofs and walls but my main issue is that
the reception has declined. I was able to talk on my phone inside my house
without dropping a call except when weather was bad now I usually don't
even receive the phone call or the message is very delayed coming thru or
the phone doesn't ring but I'll get the voicemail alert. Time day seems to
make a difference as well. Usually early evening is the worst no matter the
weather.
My second issue is that before I was able to step out of my house and have
LTE service all around my house. Now I'm lucky if I get 3G. Usually it's no
service, or 1x.
Not acceptable when I'm paying for an iPhone and 4G.
I've called in on this issue in the past and we went thru my phone settings
and I believe all is the same.
Can you tell what tower I'm getting signal from at my address? Because I
believe it's not coming from the tower that is maybe 3/4 of a mile behind
my house. I believe it's coming from tower# 0x212EF? Located in Cornett, Tx
which is about 12 miles from me. Can you verify?

We know you’re anxious to get the service you once had at home DIALIT97. Time can affect the service as well. During busy hours when most people are on their phones, the tower can be more congested and not provide as strong of a signal. Since this started, have you tried powering the phone off and back on when the signal is giving you trouble? Also, what model iPhone do you currently have?

I'm actually beyond anxious. I'm very aggravated.
It's not JUST in the late afternoons it just seems even worse at that time.
And yes, I restart my phone regularly. Sometimes it helps, but not always.
It's an iPhone 5. And I've deleted a lot of apps so I have more
space/memory because that can be an issue also.
Always removing pictures, etc.
So no info on the tower?
