I was at Tyler Mall in Riverside, CA, and the employee there told me that Verizon was having an event. The event day was 9/12/16. I was told that if I add a line that day I would receive 2gb of mobile data for free, so I added 2 new lines. After a few days I did not receive the free 2gb so I called to ask what was going on. I was told that I had to pay the first month's bill in order to get the 2gb. So I waited and I did, but I still didn't get my data. I called back and then he told me that I had to confirm the 2gb that I was going to get through the mail. I never received any mail so I called the Verizon customer service. I was told that no such mail was sent. I wasted money getting two lines. The employee name is Nia [Removed]. What can I do so I can get my 2gb for the 2 lines I have purchased? I'm really frustrated for this employee and what is going on right now.
Details: You can receive an extra 2GB per month when upgrading or activating a new smartphone line with device payment or at retail price. You must be on 8GB New Verizon Plan or higher. 2-year contracts are not eligible.
