I have email, web, and navigator, but only need to use them occasionally.  Can I change my plan and how frequently?

Hello again!  Actually, the way it works is once you call to change your plan it's done right away and the changes take effect instantaneously or you can set the change in plan to take place at a future date of your chosing like at the end of your billing cycle.   You can change plans as often as you like at no charge and I've actually done it several times in one day and verizon never even blinked an eye at it.

I've never done it via the menu on my phone but I suspect you could easily go into My Verizon on your phone and do so.   I have either called verizon to change the plan or I've done it right from the web site.   Simply log into My Verizon . . . My Services tab . . .  and then select My Plan from the menu on the left . . . right in the middle of the page is a link to change your plan :smileyhappy:

Hello and welcome!   You can change your plan as often as you like.   You can even change it multiple times in one day and I just recently did that myself (don't ask :smileysad:).

Thanks! So, do they pro-rate the charges? And can you subscribe/unsuscribe on your phone or do you have to call them? (I can't find a place to do it online...)

53, you are welcome to change your plan at any time...but keep in mind that whenever you do that, your OLD plan airtime allowance AND minutes of use are prorated for however many days you used them in your current billing cycle...

And...

when you change your plan to a NEW plan, in addition to it being prorated for the amount of minutes and airtime for the rest of the time you are on the current billing cycle, you will also be charged for a month in advance for the new plan.

Figured you might wanna know that since your bill when you get it next month will be all sorts of funky. 😃

VERY TRUE!   Thanks for adding that as well.   Your next bill can be really screwy depending on when in the cycle you're changing the plan and whether you're going up or down in coverage.   You can have them back date a plan and actually receive a credit in some cases.   However, in other cases changing your plan can create an "overage" in minutes if you do so.   The reps will almost always tell you if that's the case but I've found it's always best to ask as well.   So yes you can change the plan anytime you want but sometimes it's a matter of WHEN in the cycle is the optimum time to do so.    Great looking out for that crucial fact HyattPrincess :smileyhappy:
