Canceling service and Billing

I recently switched carriers and called today to make sure my verizon service was canceled only to find out I will have to pay until the end of my billing cycle, that ends on January 4. I asked why I would end up paying the full month for partial month service and the rep said basically too bad so sad I had to pay.

Really verizon, after 13 years being a verizon  customer and now this?

Not making a good case for yourself to get me back if I decide to change carriers again!!!

From the Customer Agreement located at the bottom of the page:

"Cancellations will become effective on the last day of that month's billing cycle, and you are responsible for all charges incurred until then."

You cancelled them, so you can't throw in the 13 year loyalty card.....Good luck wherever you go Smiley Happy

I know how you feel...they certainly don't have a problem pro-rating when the money is going in their direction.
