Why is it impossible to open a live chat or get any help from customer "service" ?

If you can't wait for a Chat session, why don't you call 800-922-0204 or *611? I just logged in to My Verizon and went to View My Bill where the Chat button was on the bottom right. I initiated a chat and waited for about 3 mins before I was serviced:

If you need to catch up on your sleep, just dial *611, put the phone by your head, and go to sleep. An hour or so later, after you've had your nap, a rep will come onto the line and you can get your question answered.
I called VerizW at *611 on Jan 05 2018 and waited on hold for 65 minutes.
Verizon is already decimating their Landline customer service, since, by decree of Fran Shammo, they don't care about Landline and want to concentrate on wireless. Now, it seems, why spend money on wireless customer service? They've got you. Who cares if no one answers your call?
