Can I Complete A Transfer Of Service If I Am Not The Account Holder?

I have a line on my parent's account and I'm looking to transfer it onto my own account.  I've looked around and know that there's an Assumption of Liability form to fill out online, but when filling it out I was a bit confused by something.  I can log into the Verizon Wireless site under my own number and get some general info about the account itself, but I'm NOT the primary account holder.  However, looking at a page that explains the AoL process and clicking the red button to start will bring me to a page where I can select a line to transfer, but I can only choose my own (which makes sense).  After that it'll ask me to enter the email address of who the line is being transferred to, which again is me, but I didn't go any further yet because of one question.

While I have talked to my parents about moving my line over to my own account and off of theirs, and I know that afterwards there's a number I'd have to call to finalize the transfer of service, but can I technically complete the form online if I'm NOT the primary account holder, or would the primary account holder have to log in to fill out the form?

Stating your own account is a great step towards your independence, NeoScyther. Tikibar1 is certainly on the correct track about gaining authorization to move the line. I wanted to add some additional clarification. The authorization does not have to solely come from the account owner. Any authorized user on the account can authorize this transaction. This would include the account owner as well as any account managers.
