When I use my Verizon cellphone to call a landline, suddenly my dead mother's name shows up! (Weirdly, it started the night I mentioned her in a storytelling performance onstage, and called my sister to tell her about it, so my sister saw my mom's name first...) My mother and I NEVER shared an account or a phone number, and 2 Verizon tech people have checked and her name is NOT anywhere on my account.
This has never happened before-till now, the name has always come up as my own. Now it's happening on any landline I call! Is this a glitch with the "LIDB" or a message from the grave??? Help!!
I would be concerned too if this had happened with my caller ID. We do offer a service which allows you to change the name of the caller ID when calling numbers that support it. It is called Share Name ID. It is a free feature and you can change the name to whatever you prefer.
