help-me-please,

re the original questions:

  • Why is Verizon doing this bait and switch ??? They aren't
  • Who else is facing this ?  Anyone that does not pay attention to their billing or account - both available online at any time.
  • How long is-has this been going on ??? as long as there have been people willing to blame a company for something that is ultimately their own responsibility.

Do these answers provide any useful information to the OP?  NO

Thanks for the "share everything" plan info - glad to see/hear documentation about the plan DID exist ... however my plan was NEVER grandfathered in - instead I was promised ONE thing $45 plan - and charged something completely different - hence the start of this "bait and switch" thread.

Regarding employees and world view ... on most days I agree too ... however I wonder if you would say that about companies like Enron or Exxon Valdez or MCI or PGE caught polluting etc etc etc.

Again, thanks for the "share everything" plan info - now looks like another call w/ Verizon who DID NOT Grandfather me in earlier March/April - refuse to do it now Oct - and their Supervisor Veronica in Georgia call center had me on call hold for three (3) hours per their own phone records.

RIDICULOUS !!!

Thank you - yes I DID notice - quite a few on their own little know it all - yet - clueless tangents. (wonder how many of these full-time Verizon hacks ghost writing on Verizon behalf with the same mindless troll). Again, thanks for the information and yes looks like another call in my future ... per my earlier post the last Verizon customer service call lasted three (3) hours - seriously including an unprofessional Supervisor Veronica in Georgia Call Center ... seriously who has time for three (3) hour wait in today's world.

Irony is all I want is/was fairly simple:

(1) Honor plan you promised me March 2014

(2) Refund excess monies you have charged me since.

(3) Restore my plan (grandfather what you/I signed contract for

(4) Take responsibility - true responsibility - and apologize with sincerity.

Thanks again for your note - will give this a couple of days to call Verizon back ... in the meantime will call AT&T and Sprint ...  Verizon's "integrity" issues (first bait & switch ? then deny and not take responsibility for wrongdoing ? then hold for 3 hours ?) - too much lack of integrity - too much lack of governance (training ? oversight ?) - and again question remains - how many more who have gone through the same thing and does this point to a bigger underying Verizon issue - oversight ? or negligence ? deliberate ?

Thanks

elliew - contrary to your view - "help me please" actually was helpful to MY original post - so as long as you're trolling this forums simply as a ghost writer - lackey for Verizon Inc - without providing any real support/help - I'd appreciate you butting out.

I DO take responsibility for not checking my account immediately after the switch ... two reasons

(1) I don't typically look at accounts in breakdown - had not for year(s) prior - Verizon rep sells me a plan for $45 a month - I take him at his word - trust that he will followup and reserve my mind-time for higher thoughts and causes then a phone bill.

(2) Btw  - the Verizon rep specifically told me to wait a month/two to check my bill - because there were issues with start - stop middle of billing cycle - as well as pro-rating etc ... so he said to me to wait a billing cycle or two before I got back in to check. *yes I lost track of following - I take responsibility*

However, again, in general, I take people at their word - when someone says "Look I have a plan for you at $45 - Share Everything" - I took him at his work - paid my bills lump sum 4 ~ 5 months in advance as I usually do - and we move on - so I can focus on bigger  / larger things and not have to play big brother - and look over shoulder - and cross verify and interrogate everyone.

PS: Ironic how you have gone from "kind" (everyone good person) yesterday to "vicious" (attack customers today) - all in < 24 hours. ?????????

Thank you Weth - will get back to Verizon - to straighten this out - been customer 10+ years - however no longer feel any loyalty to/with them - due to this "integrity" issue - once trust is broken hard to piece back together - thanks again Weth - yes you are right - I was verbally "sold"  the Unlmtd Talk/Text plan w/ 250Mb plan (we record these calls for quality and monitoring purposes) on 24th March - however some sleight of hand and bait and switch with my billing - almost makes you want to go use those prepaid phones with none of this nonsense to deal with 🙂 🙂 :-).

Seems like you should have service with the company you work for (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, whichever), since you probably understand the billing system you work with every day. It would be less complicated for you,  if you did so.

See what I did there?
