Upgraded my regular (non-smart) phone plan for $40 for 400 minutes to a smart phone with unlimited talk & text for $45 - with a FREE iPhone 5C thrown in.
Today, I find out (I pay my bills - lump sum 3 ~ 4 X in advance) that I have/am being charged an extra $15 for the last 5 ~ 6 month.
Why is Verizon doing this bait and switch ??? Who else is facing this ? How long is-has this been going on ???
What does your bill say you have been paying for? The bill breaks down the charges. What plan are you on today? There were a few smartphone plans that were $60 for unlimitted talk & text and 1 or 2 GB of data. There may have been an older plan that had less data for $45. We need info from you to provide any insight
My original plan was ULTD Talk & Text w/ 250Mb of data for $45 - that was promised/deal done on 24 March 2014 as special offer for my "loyalty" etc.
Come to find out Verizon did BAIT AND SWITCH and started charging an EXTRA $15 ever since then ... so this plan was NEVER $45 as promised.
Spoke to Supervisor Veronica - curt and unresponsive - worse yet - she has ME on hold now for THREE hours - check your phone records 1800 922 0204 - check my phone records - I have now been on HOLD by Veronica - Supervisor - Georgia Call Center - Veronica has me on HOLD for three (3) hours - claiming she was working on a refund ???
WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES VERIZON HAVE ? First, someone lies - does bait and switch - now I am on HOLD for THREE HOURS ???
mrhelper is right. There is a plan that gives 1GB of data and Unlimited talk/text for $60 but to get it for $45 you have to be on the Edge program.
There WAS a plan that had unl talk & text w 250MB of data for $45 for 1 smartphone. It was a loyalty offer back in the days of ShareEverything. That plan was grandfathered when MoreEverything was introduced.
in47933 - 7 months later and you are just now realizing you're on a different plan. You should be able to view your previous bills - were you ever on the $45 plan or did someone put you on the wrong plan? Mistakes do happen. People in the stores and the call centers are just employees after all - some are good ones, some not so much. Vzn wouldn't be in business long if they made a practice of bait and switch as you accuse.
Notice how people who are responding to you are experts on everything, but don't respond to your issue? You can look at my thread too. Same people saying the same things.
Keep calling and be persistent. As of about 10 minutes ago, I finally spoke with someone with reason who was able to make my situation right.
The forums do not help.
Sounds like you signed up for loyalty unl talk&text with 250 MB data, but either:
1) got signed up for $60 1GB plan
2) got signed up for loyalty $60 2GB plan
3) going over 250MB each month and getting $15 overage.
what does your original receipt say? You can find this on My Verizon.
It is very hard to reverse something months later, always pay attention after any change. The plan you want Is now no longer offered.
