I would certainly be interested in what plan you are on. Overage charges are not normally listed in the contract terms, but in the plan description. The plan description is not the contract, you can change plans at any time without affecting your contract, but you cannot change your contract.

Ever since the old Nationwide plans went away, the overage charges on the Share Everything and then More Everything have been a minimum of  $15/GB with higher overages at the lowest data allowance tiers.

What plan does your bill say you are on?

Even if you are being charged for 4 GB of usage, how do you figure you are being overcharged at $70.99.

You say you have a $60/month plan which comes with 2 GB. You are being charged for 4 GB of usage with 2 GB of overages at $10/GB. That brings your overage charges up to $20. $60 + $20 = $80 which is MORE than what you are being charged. Now WHY are you upset at being charged $70.99???

No, instead of $60 I'm being charged $70.99 and I'm being charged overages higher than what I've used. I was charged for an additional 9gb = $90! I don't use that much! If I'm supposed to have a fixed charge of $60, why are they charging me a fixed charge of $70.99?

The overages are not included on the $70.99. My bill for that month with 9gb over the 2gb included in my plan was$173.68 with taxes.

Without a lot more detail we are all just speculating here, but the $60 loyalty plan w  2GB is $60 (w  an overage rate of $10 per GB). You are indicating you are paying $70.99 - the additional $10 is likely insurance or some other added feature, and $0.99 is usually the charge for ringback tones. If you don't like these add'l charges remove the features. Sounds pretty legit to me: $71 for the plan & features, $70 in overages = $141 ... plus  taxes/surchgs

Just my two cents. I am on the More Everything $50.00 loyalty plan. unlimited talk, text and 4gb data. $50.00 data + $40.00 line charge + $10.00 for insurance. Monthly total $90.00. With fees, taxes etc., my bill is $109.13

Data overage is $15.00 per gb. I've went over twice by accident and incurred the additional data charge. Once I used 5.7gb, but never incurred any other charges over the extra 15.00 charge for the overage. It wasn't rounded up. Might have got lucky.

Everyone - if you are a one person plan, there are way too many other cellular companies offering it all for $45 - $50 a month if you're with Verizon paying more, you should move on to one of them.   I signed up in January last year with Promises of a bill no more than $135 for my two children and myself, which I was paying on T-Mobile and was never charged overages with T-Mobile for Data.  My bill was constant and I could count on TMOBILE.  Verizon constantly charges me overages and fees for no reason.  They seem to be all about oh we're sorry lets get that removed etc.... Once again, another month and Verizon charged me bogus fees for nothing!  I'm sick and tired of Verizon LYING.   They gave me a credit of $30 before I even called and there is an additional $50 dollars in Verizon "OTHER FEES" on my bill which do not expand to explain what they are.  When I spoke to a Verizon Representative Last month she told me call on the 1st and they should be able to fix this.  Well I just call Verizon Customer Service and got a MESSAGE - Verizon is in the process of updating your billing and the Verizon Customer service agents do not have access to your billing information.  Call back on Jan. 7th.  Really?  I CHALLENGE VERIZON TO EXPLAIN WHY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE CANNOT SEE MY BILLING INFO TO EXPLAIN THE VERIZON OTHER FEES OF $50.   AGAIN VERIZON LIES, CHEATS AND STEALS FROM IT'S CUSTOMERS.  Nickel and diming for every little fee and now won't even answer the phone to explain the charges.  VERIZON FRAUD, VERIZON LIES, VERIZON IS AWFUL.  NO VERIZON CUSTOME SERVICE.     I think a lot of the responses are actual VERIZON WORKERS BEING MADE TO LIE.  I'M GOING TO FIND A WAY OUT OF MY VERIZON CONTRACT IF IT KILLS ME.  I HATE VERIZON.
