I agree with Ann, once you make a claim, stick a temporary phone on the line. I always have my last phone in a drawer, just in case.
I also don't believe insurance is fiscally reasonable. Asurion has an effective monopoly as all carrier use them for insurance.
As for "I want you, VERIZON not ASURION, to give me my replacement phone. The exact make and model. Black Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The good lord knows Asurion is in no rush to do it even with the $200 deductible!".
No way is Verizon responsible for providing you with a phone. You surely wouldn't be asking Ford to replace your stolen Escort....no that is entirely between the owner and Geico.

What a terrible story. However, Asurion attempted to make you whole and offered you a different model. You could have chosen that. You chose to wait. Why don't you have a phone on back up? ALWAYS have a phone on backup.

The only thing that I am looking for from Asurion is the lost/stolen coverage. It would be $261 if I needed to file a claim within 1 year....not bad when it's a $650 device.

Plus the $5 to $10 per month for who knows how many months you would pay prior to actually using the insurance. Asurion and Verizon make tons of money on device insurance. Don't take the bait.
