$400 Deposit Money

I deactivated my phone in September, and I have been waiting to get my $400 deposit money back.

(I had put the amount down because I'm not a permanent resident in the US)

I have been contacting verizonwireless ever since both in store and online inquiring about the money.

They finally say the check had been sent on November 9, but I still didn't receive anything.

I'm very dissatisfied with the service. I want everything to be resolved as soon as possible.

Refer to the customer agreement and important information section.

The guidelines are listed below. If you meet these guidelines call customer service @ (800) 922-0204

"You may have been asked to leave a security deposit at the time you activated your wireless service. You are eligible to receive your security deposit back at the end of one year of uninterrupted service, or upon termination of your service. Your deposit will automatically be refunded after one year, including interest, provided that you have kept your account in “good standing” (this means that you paid your bill continuously for one year in a timely manner). This refund may take up to three billing cycles to be processed. Should you be disconnected at any time during the first year for lack of payment, you forfeit any interest accrued during that time frame. If you terminate your service, but have not paid your final bill, the deposit will be applied to your account, and you will receive any remaining funds. If your service is terminated after the initial 14-day return and exchange period but before the end of your minimum term, your deposit will be applied against the early termination fee in addition to any outstanding balance before a check is processed."

The fact is, when I contacted the customer service, they had told me the deposit money had been sent, and I would be able to receive it within three weeks of its send-out date (November 9th). It's not my fault I'm not enlightened as to what is going on with the deposit money I put down when I began the contract. I deactivated service in September, which was after my contract ended.

You should know the terms on your deposit. Why put $400 down and not know what's going to happen to it, or if ou will get it back at all? Regardless, this is a peer-to-peer forum so if the rep told you they were sending it, you would have to contact them again to determine where your money is. We customers are not able to track your deposit.
