This discussion is from 2011. Things might have changed since then.
Also if you have a 4G phone, you don't need to dial anything to activate or program the phone.

Hey brent.suits!
*228 is a pretty helpful option to have when experiencing certain issues so I'm happy to get to the bottom of this for you. After all, we want you having the best network service possible.
Of course, this is a feature specific to only certain devices. 4G LTE capable phones and some of our older models are not *228 capable. Additionally, in order to take advantage of the feature, you'll need to be located within our coverage area. Which device do you have? Do you have full coverage? Try turning the phone off, taking out the battery, and turning back on. I hope this is helpful!

You don't. Other than shutting off the phone and turning it back on I guess.

PRL updates are handled automatically by the SIM card in 4G LTE phones.

Apparently mine is not updating or something else is going on. My iPhone 5 goes to the "o" in the signal which from everything that I'm reading indicates poor data connection even though I'm in a 4G LTE coverage area. Thoughts?
