text settings on LG Octane

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the setting on the LG Octane so that incoming text messages do not take priority and send your current text creation to the draft folder?  It's driving me nuts.

When a text comes in to my phone when I am already composing another, I have an option to View Now or View Later - does the Octane not give you that choice?

If I choose View Now -it DOES create a draft, but once I view the message I am taken right back to my message in progress. If I choose View Later, I can continue with my message in progress . . .
