HI chicagomsg,
Thank you again for your patience as we work to assist you.
If you have not, please uninstall the app. Restart your device and do a fresh install of the app.
The developers have not mentioned any OS issues.
If the issue continues, please let me know.
Thanks,
ALIE

thanks, I've tried that.
got to say, this support process is bordering on worthless. oh well,
thought I'd give it a try. but seriously, you guys have a buggy app and
your best troubleshooting advice is "The developers have not mentioned any
OS issues."
How about I'm an end user and AM reporting Mac OS issues. Jeez. Get a clue!

PS - just go to the mac app store and read the reviews. PLENTY of OS
issues. Again, this support process makes me want to slap my face.
Worthless.

Are you saying I should uninstall the app that is on my phone? Or the app
that is on my Macbook Air? If phone, that is impossible since it is baked
into Android system and all you can do is uninstall the updates. Is that
what you mean?
Or do you mean uninstall the app from my Macbook? If so, yes, I have tried
that about 9 times. The issue persists.

HI chicagomsg
At this point, the best way to troubelshoot your App is to review the error logs. In order to do this, I'll need your direct email address and phone number....which we DO NOT want you to leave on this public forum.
Please email the info to this private email account:
verizonmessages@verizonwireless.com
Subject line: CHICAGOMSG from FORUM
Don't forget to include a number to call you on.
I will look out for your email.
Thanks,
ALIE

Hi, a quick update. I figured out the solution to my problem. My mac antivirus software by Avast include 3 "shields": file system, mail, and web. After looking through my console logs, it appears that Message+ requires an IMAP connection to retrieve all of it's data and the "mail shield" was blocking this. There was no pop up or alert, basically Message+ just sat there forever, empty and silent.
So...problem solved by disabling the mail shield.
Hopefully this helps someone else with similar problem.

Close to 5 years later, I came across this thread.
I don't want to completely disable the email shield in Avast. You can list exceptions.
Any idea what the url would be?
