keep sending blank test messages

I have an LG Vortex. I have this phone for a couple months now. For the past few days, whenever I would send a text to anyone, when they would recieve it, it would be blank or squares like this [] [] [] [].  I called Verizon and they had to take the battery out, reprogram it, which did nothing! This is my 3rd phone from verizon and I had problems with all 3 of them!  I hope there is something I can do!

Are you using a signature in your text messages (automatically added to each text)? This can cause problems on the receivers phone if it cannot translate the signature properly.

Another factor may be animated emoticons, or even regular emoticons used in the message.
