Why does my messages plus app keep crashing?

Not sure how that works but its working for me now. Is there anything else I need to do besides update after it's fixed? Thank you

Hi just had this same issue on 8/1/2019 at 9:30 PM EDT. I ended up going to the Google Playstore and uninstalling the app. I clicked OPEN, and it started downloading an update, then installed it. Now it works fine. When I checked the Playstore, again, for updates, there were no further updates for my phone.

mine stopped working after i opened a text from verizon saying I was eligible for an upgrade

Upgraded the default Message+ 6.3.7 to 6.8.8 from the Play Store and is working now.

My problem seems to have started after the android update. Like everyone else here, I kept getting a notification that the messages were syncing or something and now the app won't open. Have uninstalled reinstalled etc...

And i have verizon text groups that won't work on other texting apps.

I'm already on 6.8.8 but mine still doesn't work.
