Verizon Messaging Services

I have a question regarding multiple services associated with texting. I currently have a family select, meaning unlimited texting. I have spoken with a VZW representative about this once, but still seem skeptical. I am wondering, with unlimited, I was told I can receive/send facebook status updates, twittering and IM forwarding services at no charge since it is included in an unlimited plan. That means, there would be no extra charges. Is this true, from personal experience with billing anyone? I just feel like when I receive a Facebook "Wall Post" and I reply to them, or send a regular SMS text, that I will be billed for data, same goes with updating a Twitter or receiving instant messages (though I am not using the Mobile IM program, I just turned on 'IM Forwarding' on aim.com linked to my phone number). Thanks for any help!

If its considered a text message (sms/mms), then you should be billed as text messages.  It's possible that if you're downloading pictures and such that you may incur data charges, but I'm not sure.  I have a storm, so I have an 'unlimited' data plan with it too.

The facebook, myspace, and twitter SMS's are part of the normal texting with your plan.

Sadly... I text 2000-5000 a month. The majority being from using Mobile IM (windows live messanger) and Twitter updates (short code 40404).

No additional charges ever appeared.

The rep was correct, you will  not be charged for any of these services. They will be billed as text messages and if you have the select plan it will count towards your unlimited text plan.
