Hello, I hope I am putting this in the right place. I am having a problem texting certain numbers. They are not premium, and although they are checked as sent, I never receive any type of acknowledgement that my text was received. Yet if my husband texts the same number, he gets a response back right away. This just started happening about 2 months ago, and at first, it was just a number ever now again. Now it is happening more often. We are both Verizon customers.

Try dialing *228 option 1 to re-connect with the network and update your PRL information. It may help, and won't delete any of your personal settings.
You can also try pulling the battery with the phone on, and after a minute or so, reinsert the battery and restart the phone. Again, it may help, and won't change any of your settings.
If none of these help, then call customer service (800-922-0204 from any phone or *611 from your handset) and have a rep check the settings on your account for text messaging to be sure it is provisioned correctly.

Thank you very much for your response. I have unlimited texting. I made no changes to my plan. The numbers I am texting are short codes, like for Coca Cola. I have been able to do this in the past, it's just the last few months that I've had a problem with. I can do some but with others it's as if they never received them, because I get no response. I check and it says message has been sent. I also did the things you suggested - removing my battery and dialing *228 and neither one of those worked.

Thank you for your response. Yes I do, I can get texts from family and other short codes, it's just a few it's as if they do not receive them, because I get no response.

Right now the only thing that comes to mind is htat they are being considered as premium texts and you have a block on premium texting. I know you said they are NOT premium texts...but it's a possibility they are being seen that way and so are being blocked.
You said your husband can text to them and get responses...does he have a premium block? And I have no idea if this will trigger any ideas for anyone, but what kind of phones do you both have? Are you using smartphones, and an app to text or just Verizon regular SMS texting?
I really don't know why this is happening to you, just throwing questions out there and hoping one of your answers may lead us in the right direction.

Yes my husband does have a premium block, also. We did this just to be on the safe side. My phone is a LG env touch. His is a motorola flip phone, sorry not sure of the exact model of his phone.
I asked my mom and nephew to try texting and see what happens. The weird thing is, she had the same response as me (no response) and my nephew got a response back from them. They are also Verizon customers.
