Texting issue

2 weeks ago I was unable to send any text messages, when I try to send out a text it brings up the screen "Message failed would you like to retry". I thought this would be an issue with the network being overloaded but this is has been going on for 2 weeks now. I have never been able to send any texts during theses 2 weeks.

 

The cause code is "Temporary(Service not available:SMS Ord.D.)" I dont have a text plan but I was able to send texts fine before this. I did the whole *228 things and pulled the battery. Im sure that I have changed nothing in my account to have this happen.

Sounds like a feature setting problem. You will need to call customer service.

I'm trying to call customer support about the text issue but when I get throught all the machine garbage it ask me to type my verizon account password before I can speak to a customer service rep. Where do I find this out? I tried looking at my bill and what not but nothing seems to work.

Are you sure its asking you for your account password? I have never had to enter that. Is this the number you're trying to call? (800) 922-0204

Yeah that's the number that im calling. I go to the text support and it just puts me on hold and says " for sercurity purposes please enter your verizon account password" The only password I have from verizon is this one to post on the forums, other than that I've got nothing

You have to enter the last four digits of the owner of the accounts social security number.
