How do I block Span text messages?
I have a pay per message plan and I recently received two unwanted text messages from AOL one from 265-060 and one from 265-019.
They asked me to reply with 'out' and 'block' to stop receiving these messages, but somehow it sounded like a trick..
Is this a scam?
Please let me know what can be done about this?
Thanks - Bob
We offer several options to help you control the messages that you receive. My husbands phone is getting spam texts as well. All are your everyday generic spam messages yet they come between 5-10 times a day. I've already added 4 numbers to the block.
Does anyone know how this happens? He doesn't even have his phone set to an internet connection. It's EXTREMELY annoying for him while he is working. Within the messages it shows a web address and to reply STOP if he wishes to not recieve those messages anymore. I fear that replying to those wil set off an even bigger problem though.
I need help please!!
I would suggest to reply "stop" to each of the messages.

Reply without the quotation marks though. Some will add , "Please" or exclamation points. These systems will not recognize the request if there are ANY extraneous characters.
So it will be ok to reply STOP? I figured once I did that then he would get even more.
