How long a go did the port take place? It may take a few days for it to be fully complete. If it has been longer than that, contact both Verizon CS and T-Mobile and see why it hasn't completed yet.

It takes awhile to get everything set up and fully working when your number is being ported over. If it does not fix by itself then do call customer care.

Same thing is happening to me, but, we have four phones and mine is the only one not getting texts from other carriers. The other ones have been getting them just fine. Seems to me that all the regulations, rules, red-tape and fail-safes just aren't enough to overcome lazy employees, sloppy work and slack-offs. I'm sure that's what's happened with mine (either on T-Mobile (where we came from) or Verizon).

Are either of your lines, new activations or did either of you upgrade your Alltel device to a Verizon Wireless device? If neither, are either of you located near Jackson, NC?
