International Texting

I have an unlimited nationwide family share plan for texting ($30). I want to text someone in Canada who has a phone with Rogers and international texting.
Would it cost me anything to text him or for him to text me?

No, texting to and from Canada is considered domestic texting and is included in your unlimited plan.  CALLING the number will result in high, per minute, international rates.  But texting -  go for it!  (It should be a 10 digit phone number, area code and number, that's all you need).
