I am having this issue as well. Just started about 2 months ago and only from one contact. I am using message plus and happens everytime I get a message from that contact, I receive 2 identical messages.
We know how important it is to get the correct amount of text messages, Dbellofatto. Do you know if anyone else is also getting duplicate text messages from this contact? Is this occurring with SMS messages, MMS messages, or both types of messages?

Hi,
No one that I've checked with is getting duplicate messages from this
contact. I believe it is actually an email account that sends it (
[removed]) so not sure if that is consider MMS or not. I
have also switched to the default messaging app on my Samsung to see if it
still happens and it does not, indicating it is only with message plus. I
have already cleared them from the app, forced stop, restarted phone but is
still occurring.
