How to have texts sent to email automatically?

I have a Casio® G'zOne Boulder™ Black & Silver

I was told I could have all my texts sent to my email automatically, without me having to do anything once I set it up. Where would I find step by step instructions for this?

As far as I know, automatic forwarding of text messages is not a feature of any phone.  Where did you hear of this?  The question has come up multiple times in these forums, and others, I'm sure.  The answer has always been that it's not possible.

You can auto-forward emails to text messages (from within the email program), but not text messages to email, that has to be done manually.  If anyone does know of a way to do this, I'm sure there are many who would like to know how!!

I agree with SuzyQ.  I KNOW how disappointed you are in me not having an answer for you...I have let you down for the first time.....sigh.  :smileyvery-happy:

I did look around in forums and such and even the owners manual for the phone and I could not find a thing.

Back in the day (I am talking up to the purchase of Alltel) I could forward EVERY text sent or received to my email. You had to send a text to shortcode 8888 with the code of what you wanted to do. However, Verizon does not offer this. That may be what you are hearing as I believe other carriers still offer this option.

I've always been with Verizon and didn't even know this existed (I am SOOOOO sheltered!).  It would be a great feature to have....for so many reasons.

You and SuzyQ....man...what would I do without you 2??

I shouldn't listen to rumors. For now on I will come here to the PROS. No sense in me listensing to **bleep** when I have the facts right here!:smileyhappy:

And would you happen to know how to do it from the Android phones?  I think my friend would like to have this.

For android devices you will need to go to the Android Market  on your device and search for txtForward.  The application and instructions will be there.  For more information on text forwarding, click here http://electricpocket.com/txtforward/.

So it looks like auto-forwardng of text messages (on Verizon, at least) is a separate app, available only on advanced devices that allow you to download apps, and not on the regular, "simple"  phones that just do text messaging.  Ahhh, well.  Maybe someday.
