A friend of mine sent me a text about 4 or 5 months ago and I deleted it. I would like to retrive it now so I can show it to her parents. She's 17 and I honestly thought she was just joking around when she said she's sleeping with a 26year old man.
Is there any way short of going to the police to get the text back?
You will actually need to go to a judge and get a supoena to get access to the CONTENT of text messages on Verizon's servers. They will not release these details to anyone, including account holders, without that document.
How far back do the text messages go when they are subpoenaed by a court?
I believe that text messages are retained on the Verizon servers for no longer than 10 to 14 days.
