I have a LGenV2 cellphone and am getting a call from a number I would like to block. How can I block just 1 number?

My Verizon, My Services, Verizon Spam Controls (or safeguards...or whatever) then blocks. Or call customer care and they can do it.

You can simply assing the number a silent ringtone. The phone won't ring. Then you can completely ignore the calls.

Add the contact to your phone & then put silent ring or no ring.

Go to the menu on your/child's phone.

Go to settings and tools.

Scroll down to phone settings -- click.

Scroll down to security -- click

Enter phone lock code -- last 4 digits of your phone number. -- Scroll to Restrictions -- enter phone lock code again.

Scroll down to calls -- click

Choose -- INCOMING calls -- choose CONTACTS only.

Then close out of the whole menu -- Your phone will now only allow calls from people on the contact list of the phone.

Before you do this make sure you have all the phone numbers you want on the contact list.

This way only people you want calling will be able to get through. If someone calls that IS NOT in your contacts, they won't be able to get through. The phone won't ring.

Once you set the restrictions you won't be able to edit the contact list until you go back into the security settings and change it back to "all" for incoming calls.''

Hope this helps.

When you do this the phone just goes to voice mail so it's not a true block like you can do from the website or at least on my phone that is what happens with this setting.  If I do the block from the website then the person gets a message about not accpeting calls or something so they can't even leave a message.  Mary
